Victoria was a full-time lecturer at her alma mater, Howard University. From 2017-2019, she taught MJFC 201-02 Multimedia Storytelling, a graduation-required course in the Cathy Hughes School of Communications that incorporates the basics of reporting and writing with multimedia tools, in addition to MJFC Intro to Media Production and SCOM Digital Media Literacy.
She served as the faculty multimedia editor for Howard University News Service’s 2018 midterm coverage by assigning social media stories and editing social-friendly videos.
In October, Victoria was awarded a $10,000 flash grant from the Poynter Institute. The grant will allow Howard University News Service’s Truth Be Told to fact-check false information about African-Americans during the midterm elections in the 2020 elections.
